I am deeply passionate about nurturing confidence, creativity, and a love for the performing arts and being confident public speakers in young people. At Young Actors Academy, I am dedicated to creating a supportive and inspiring environment where students can not only explore their talents but also grow as individuals. With years of experience in both teaching and leading educational programs, I bring a wealth of knowledge in drama and performance, guiding students to unlock their potential and achieve their personal best. My approach is centred on developing a positive mindset, encouraging self-expression, and helping each student find their unique voice in the performing arts and public speaking.

Tutoring Experience

With over 20 years of classroom experience, including 12 years as Head of Performing Arts, I have successfully led and managed departments in drama, dance and music. My role has involved not only teaching but also mentoring and line managing staff, ensuring high standards across all areas of the performing arts. I also bring extensive expertise as an examiner for GCSE and A-level Drama and serve as a Team Leader for the senior assessment team for BTEC Performing Arts at Level 2.
Through my leadership at the Young Actors Academy, I am proud to report that 100% of our students who took their LAMDA exams in the Summer 2024 series achieved Merits and Distinctions, a testament to the quality of our program and the dedication of our students.

Tutoring Approach

My approach combines practical experience with structured stages of learning, ensuring that each student not only refines their acting and communication skills but also develops discipline and a genuine sense of achievement. I believe in the importance of personalised teaching, tailoring my methods to the unique needs of every student. This allows me to nurture their strengths while addressing any challenges they may face, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their progress.

Whether through our engaging in-person classes or our flexible online sessions, my aim is to help each student realise their potential and achieve excellence. I am dedicated to guiding students to success, not only in the esteemed LAMDA exams but also throughout their broader artistic endeavours, fostering a lifelong passion for the performing arts
