I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Psychology and Religious Studies. I trained to be a teacher at the University of Cambridge, fell in love with the city and never quite managed to leave it.
I have taught here for the last ten years, and in that time, I have completed an MEd, and written a series of books designed to help students in A Level Psychology.
I have taught Religious Studies since 2008 and Psychology since 2011. I have experience teaching students who lack confidence in their own ability, students who don't speak English as a first language, and those with SEN.
I am a co-author of The Complete Companions' Revision Guide for A Level Psychology (for AQA) and I have co-written several exam workbooks for the same series.
I was invited to help OCR to create their new GCSE and A Level Religious Studies courses. I also have experience examining both Religious Studies and Psychology.
I have been a tutor for the last two years, alongside my teaching, and have found it to be a really enjoyable experience.
My approach is a friendly and flexible one. I believe that learning is its own reward, but appreciate the need to focus on passing examinations. I begin by identifying which areas the student needs help with, and then working with them to address each area.
