Online English and French Tuition

As a bilingual tutor, born in the UK but raised in France, I bring a unique blend of cultures to my teaching. Having attended an international school, I’m fluent in both French and English, which often surprises my friends. They like to joke that it’s as if an English person and a French person are living together in one body! Known for my creativity, humor, and ability to connect with students, I make learning both fun and engaging, creating a comfortable environment where students can thrive.

Tutoring Experience

I had the privilege of attending an international school from the age of 5 to 18, studying a wide range of subjects like English literature, history/geography, French literature, history, and political science, to name just a few. Growing up in an education-centered household—with several family members being heads of schools or teachers—my passion for learning was nurtured early on. From the age of 16, I worked part-time at a language school, helping kids become bilingual in fun and innovative ways. This love for education led me to study Education and Psychology at the University of Bath, where I continue to follow my passion for shaping the future of learning.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is all about creating a fun, engaging, and student-centered environment. I’ve used everything from LEGO and science experiments to games and role-play in the classroom to combine learning with fun because I believe that’s how children learn best. Many students leave saying they’ve played all day, not even realizing they’ve been doing it in another language—one step closer to becoming bilingual! Play is essential, especially when kids spend so much of their day sitting and listening. Don’t worry, though—if you’re an older student, it won’t all be about LEGO. There will be structured exercises too... but who says learning can’t still be fun?
