I'm a linguistics and language nerd who enjoys talking about anything language-related. My specialty is A level English Language. When I'm not doing that, I'm spending time with my family and dogs and reading books (about language) and watching football (my daughter and Leeds United).

Tutoring Experience

I've taught A level English Language and Lang-Lit for over 20 years in sixth form colleges, marked for about the same amount of time and written/edited several textbooks.

Tutoring Approach

I like to discuss ideas and help students formulate their own take on things. I can help provide scaffolding along the way and suggest approaches that work, but I like to think I can encourage students to be more confident and subtle in how they approach the subject.
