I’m a registered mental health practitioner, accredited counsellor and certified coach - but more importantly, I’m someone who understands how overwhelming university life can feel. I know that every student’s journey is different, which is why the support I offer is built around you - your needs, your challenges and your goals.
With 14 years of experience in the healthcare field, working in both the NHS and private sector, my background is not only clinical but also involves supervising and assessing junior colleagues and students in practice settings. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the pressures students face, especially in high-stress environments. It has shaped the way I support students today, helping them feel more capable, resilient and in control of their academics and well-being.
As a Professional Mentor at the University of East London, I help students develop useful skills, stay on track with their studies and feel more prepared for life beyond university. Alongside this, I work as a Freelance Specialist Mentor supporting higher education students with diagnosed mental health conditions, Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
What can I help you with:
Personalized study strategies – Let’s create a study plan that plays to your strengths and works for you.
Time management & organization – I’ll help you stay on top of deadlines and structure your workload in a way that feels manageable.
Building confidence in academic skills – Need help with essays, OSCE, research, or presentations? I’ll guide you through practical strategies to help you feel more prepared.
Focus & motivation – If you’re struggling to stay focused or feeling unmotivated, we’ll work together to find strategies that keep you engaged and on track.
Managing stress & well-being" – University life can be stressful, but I’ll help you develop techniques to manage pressure, reduce anxiety and create a healthier balance.
*Emotional & practical support – Sometimes, you just need someone to listen. I provide a safe, supportive space to help you work through challenges, develop resilience and feel in control again-
Your journey is yours, but you don’t have to walk it alone. Whenever you’re ready, reach out. Take the first step in making things easier, more manageable and less stressful.
