I am currently studying Medical Biosciences at Imperial College London, and will be commencing my Master's degree at the University of Oxford in October 2022. I have a huge passion for both sciences and humanities, having done languages, sciences and literature at A level. Having tutored many students of various ages, I understand that students need sessions tailored to their needs and goals, progressing at their own level. Having achieved top grades in all my subjects, including 4 A*'s, I understand the stress and pressure of exams, and will support all my tutees in order to facilitate their learning and make it a much more calm, stress-free and enjoyable experience.

On top of my studies, in my last year I balanced a myriad of extra-curricular activities with a position as Head Girl and multiple dance exams outside of school. Therefore, my priority is not only to facilitate the educational aspect of my students' lives, but also to help them achieve a balanced and organised way of studying overall. My sessions will be focused all about you, and I am so excited to be able to help as many students as I can achieve their top grades and enjoy the subjects they are studying.

Tutoring Experience

I have previously tutored students at various levels ranging from GCSEs to A level. I have over 250 hours of tutoring experience in various subject areas such as Biology, Maths, English Language and Literature, Spanish and Russian. Furthermore, I have tutored at university level in the subject of Biomedicine as well as Biochemistry, teaching many core modules which are taught across a variety of the Biological Sciences.

I have helped over 20 different students achieve top grades in their external exams, gain confidence in their desired subject area and apply valuable learning techniques that have helped them excel in all of their academic work.

Tutoring Approach

Having previously tutored multiple students at various ages and levels, I completely understand the needs and expectations of students and their parents from a tutor. This is why my sessions are focused entirely on the student; I ensure that my sessions are entirely tailored to my student by focusing on their specific goals and needs and achieving them at whatever pace they feel comfortable at.

My lessons will be based on problem areas and/or assignments that students will be able to inform me of prior to the session, providing me with enough time to find appropriate material that will allow students to consolidate their knowledge from the session and review any material they are struggling with. In order to provide my students with the most effective learning possible, I may frequently test my students where applicable, providing them with lots of time in advance to prepare, in order to allow them to familiarise themselves with working under exam conditions.

The aim of my sessions is to help students gain confidence in whatever subject they struggle with, allowing them to achieve the best possible grades and to learn different revision techniques that will make learning much more enjoyable and manageable for them.
