Confidence is key in everything we do, especially when it comes to dreaded tests! Throughout my teaching experience, I am most proud of the great relationships that I have built with children within a range of Primary Schools, where I have been able to identify what makes each child tick and help them reach their full potential. There's nothing better than ending the day with a huge smile and the reason someone can finally say, 'I can do it!'

Tutoring Experience

I trained as a Primary School Teacher at the University of Worcester in 2011, gaining a BA Hons in Primary Initial Teacher Education with QTS.
Since qualifying in 2014, with a specialism in Modern Foreign languages, I have taught children aged between 5-14 over the last 10 years.

I provide tuition to support children of all abilities, to prepare for SATs and 11+ examinations, and to children who just need a boost in their skills and confidence in Maths and Literacy.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the individual child. All children learn in different ways, whether it be visual, auditory or hands on. Based on professional judgement and the preferred learning style of the child, I ensure that every child is taught in the most suitable way so that they both understand and enjoy what they are learning. Learning is easy when it is fun!
It is important to me that I keep the pace of learning at a suitable level for the child and that we would only completely move on from particular content when full confidence is achieved. Challenge is also equally important to ensure that children are pushed out of their comfort zone, but with the best support provided, these opportunities are always rewarding!
