I am a family man, dog walker, computer science geek, environmentalist, nature lover, volunteer youth worker and someone who believes that everyone has the potential to be the best.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching Computing (Computer Science) and ICT at KS3, GCSE and A Level for 15 years and have been head of ICT Computing for 9 years. Whilst teaching Computing, I have taught programming languages such as SQL, HTML, JAVAscri pt, PHP, Visual Basic, Python, Pascal and Delphi. When observed by Ofsted, my lessons have been classed as Outstanding. I have also been an ICT Advanced Skills Teacher for 4 years. I have been tutoring since 2020 and have been happy to offer both online and in-person 1:1 tuition.

Tutoring Approach

I am an excellent communicator and can relate with learners effectively. I use a good mix of questioning, mentoring, knowledge sharing, past papers and quality resources to enable learners to progress rapidly whilst finding opportunities to help my students increase their ability and confidence in Computer Science. I am a very patient and empathetic person who has a good sense of humour.
