I studied Theology at the University of Oxford, and was made a scholar, finally being awarded a 2.1 degree. I am both a professional tutor and also a professional actor, working in the Television and Film industry.
I am friendly and approachable and always look forward to tutoring anyone from any background or academic capability.
I have a great deal of experience in tutoring the Humanities (English, History, Religious Studies) from year 5 and 6 right up to A2 level and across all boards. I have tutored regularly over the past few years and have built prolonged relationships with my students.
Having only recently left Oxford and been taught in the 'Oxbridge style' for many previous to that, I know the importance of reading beyond the bounds of the national curriculum. I am especially well versed in the Oxbridge application process, having tutored two students through general application, interview technique, and have ultimately succeeded at getting them both places. Good preparation is absolutely key to the application process and it is this that I feel I can offer expert guidance for.

I strongly believe that a simply academically intelligent tutor doesn't necessarily make a good tutor. Good teaching requires an emotional intelligence, and an ability to be able to read a pupil's mind in order to locate the problems that are inhibiting their progress, offering the apposite advice needed to help them on their academic journey. This is what I feel I can deliver.
As a result my approach to each student will vary. However what remains constant, is a strict focus to answering the questions that are presented, an emphasis on basic writing techniques that help convey their points with clarity, as well as my own basic aim to build a sense of belief in their own abilities.
