I hold an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow and a Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education from the University of Strathclyde. I hold full registration with the GTCS as a teacher of Psychology and have professional expertise in Developmental Psychology, Child & Youth Counselling and Social and Environmental Psychology. I am also a fully qualified teacher of English and hold an internationally recognised Level Five Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified and registered teacher and have been teaching the Higher Psychology course in schools and colleges during the past ten years. I am also a qualified English Teacher and have provided individual tuition as well as classroom-based teaching, during which time I have supported a number of students in gaining access to University. I have also taught Psychology to both NC and HNC classes in college as well as Introductory courses to vocational students. I am very familiar with the specific demands of the Higher Psychology and of the Higher English courses and am confident in my ability to provide a level of individual tutoring support to individuals who wish to pass either of these courses or who wish to progress their studies to a higher level. I also have experience of teaching English as a foreign language, having taught individuals and groups after having gained relevant qualifications from the TEFL Academy.

Tutoring Approach

I am happy to provide one-to-one tutoring support to students in their own home or to small groups and am prepared to travel (within reason) to meet students' needs. I can also offer online tutoring if this is a preferred option.
