I am a qualified teacher originally from Spain. In 2013 I completed my teaching training in England and have been taught in secondary schools in Yorkshire for 5 years.
I moved to Northern Ireland in 2018 where I have continued my career in education, both at secondary and further education levels.

Tutoring Experience

Throughout my teaching career I have taught Spanish to students aged 11 to 18, mainly in preparation for their GCSE and A-Level. I also have ample experience teaching conversational Spanish to adults that want to improve their language skills in order to make the most out of their holidays/second homes.
I have also taught Spanish to primary school children as an extracurricular subject.
Before I began my training I worked both as Languages Assistant for Giggleswick School, a private boarding school, and as private tutor for people of different ages, backgrounds and goals.

Tutoring Approach

I have always had a passion for languages. Having learnt English myself, I understand how challenging learning a new language can be. That is why I am very supportive of my students and always aim for a relaxed atmosphere in which everyone feels safe to try and not scared of making mistakes.
Thanks to my skills and experience as a teacher, I possess good curriculum knowledge in order to plan and deliver lessons that are both engaging and purposeful.
I can cater for different abilities, needs and ages. Whether you are preparing for your GCSEs or you are a complete beginner wanting to learn a new language that you could use on holidays I can help you.
Finally, as I am originally from Spain I always link my teaching to the real language used in the country and use as much of the language in the lessons as possible.
