Dean

Hi My name is Dean. I am currently working as a Financial Accountant in Liverpool. However after work hours I enjoy tutoring Mathematics to students of all abilities up to GCSE level.
I have studied mathematics at GCSE, A-Level and throughout my Economics Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Furthermore, I use maths on a daily basis in my career as an Accountant.

Tutoring Experience

I have two years experience as a tutor from 1 to 1 tutoring, to tutoring six students at once, from my time as a tutor at First Class Learning South Liverpool. Here I aided students in a less developed area of Liverpool make positive progress in their studies.

Tutoring Approach

I adopt a flexible teaching approach depending on the needs of each student. For those looking to obtain the highest grades I will focus more on consolidating existing knowledge in an exam setting and will allow the student to experience difficult exam style questions that may not be covered in standard school lessons.
For students who are looking to improve their grades but are currently struggling, I will look to strengthen the basic skills and understanding of the fundamentals of Maths, to give them the platform to experiment with more difficult content in the near future.
Most importantly I will actively listen to each individual students position and circumstances and each session will be fine tuned to benefit the student.

I also have access to the Tutor Class online tutoring platform which will remove many of the drawbacks of online tutoring in place of in person tutoring. Through this platform, I will be able to share work with the students and students will be able to interact both physically and visually with the workspace.
