I am a retired academic. In my early years I was a qualified school teacher, and then embarked on a research career at University. Throughout my many years at University I taught and tutored many students of all abilities and ages. Now I am retired, I wish to concentrate on Maths, which I find the most interesting.
I have taught in schools and colleges of further education. However, for most of my career I have taught at University, and latterly to Foundation students (the equivalent to A level). I prefer 1:1 teaching and have been able to do this as a university tutor. I have also taught briefly in India, Myanmar and am DBS checked.
Being a teacher of many years (and through my own children), I understand that one approach to teaching doesn't fit all. I work with students of all skills and abilities and put myself in their shoes such that we learn together. My maths teachers at school, college and university were exceptional, and I try to give my students the same experience that I received.
I can help you if you have any gaps in your studies, if you find some areas difficult, or if you wish to maximise your potential.
I live in the Kennington area, South London, and at the moment all teaching is done online with a shared screen. I'm happy to revert to in-person tuition once things return to normal
