Hey! My name is Dharma (also known as 'Miss Devi') and I am a Private Tutor located in Coventry. I specialise in providing 1 to 1 support in Mathematics and English to 4-11 year-olds across KS1 and KS2. I have years of classroom and curriculum experience and a passion for teaching. Tutoring Experience

Previously being a Primary School Teaching Assistant, I have years of experience working across Key Stage 1 and 2 as well as an extensive knowledge of the curriculum. I know what is expected of children in each year group and have experience helping them reach their goals. As well as this, I have worked with children with ADHD, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia and Autism, both in the classroom and 1 to 1 tutoring, so am aware of how to best tailor fun, interactive lessons to their needs. With experience working with any number of children, from 1 to 30 at a time, I show patience and am understanding making sure to not get frustrated with a child- an important quality for a 1 to 1 Private Tutor.

Tutoring Approach

Adapting to the students' needs and learning styles is always important. I focus on creating fun but engaging lessons as well as a happy learning environment. Due to this, many of my students look forward to the sessions and develop confidence, learning progress and a willingness to learn. What more could you hope for! I use a variety of resources such as paper and digital activities, worksheets, a personalised learning book, whiteboards, flashcards,, reward/ behaviour systems and many more interactive resources.
