Online Maths Tutoring

I am a qualified teacher with PGCE, QTS and BSc (Hons) in Mathematical Studies. My clients describe me as a patient teacher, fun and always have my pupils' interests at heart. They consider me their mentor. I always strive to update my knowledge in Maths be it the latest curriculum, new technology, resources, to get the best out of my pupils. I have also just recently acquired certificates on Dyslexia and ADHD awareness to better support all my pupils regardless of learning abilities.

Tutoring Experience

I have over ten years of teaching/tutoring experience. I have taught pupils from KS2, SATS, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, A Levels, QTS Numeracy, 11+,13+ Entrance exams and adult learners. I aim to get my pupils top marks in whatever endeavour they are into be it a simple topic test up to their main exams. My pupils tend to stay with me for years until they finish their exams. I also have experience teaching pupils with learning difficulties.

Tutoring Approach

I always start with building up a pupil's confidence. I make sure that their foundation knowledge is firm then we can move on to much higher level in their studies. I break down complicated topics right down to its roots to make it simple for them to take in. I like to challenge my pupils to make them see that they are capable of great things. I allow them to make as many mistakes as they can in our lessons as it is part of the great learning process then we can analyse how it can be corrected. I believe there are various ways of approaching a Maths problem and we explore those different ways to see which one best suits.
