Edward

Hi, my name is Edward. I am a school teacher in Wokingham looking to take on students interested in boosting their SATs scores, studying for 11+ entrance exams and those preparing for GCSEs.
I had an academic interest throughout my time in education, particularly with mathematics, sciences and music, subjects I pursued with success during my A-Levels. I went on to study Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield. Since then, I have returned to the education system to share my love of learning with the next generation.
In my classroom, I promote high standards and share my personal love for learning. The same can be found in my tutoring sessions.

I find being a teacher and a tutor rewarding, knowing that my work helps students discover their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Lower and Upper KS2 in Surrey and Berkshire, and have tutored for both primary and secondary.

Tutoring Approach

I will support your child with assisted practice of effective strategies to answer exam-style questions and problem-solve with understanding. I am well placed to teach the key skills needed to do this.

In English, I firmly believe that a secure reading ability supports a student's writing proficiency. I am confidently able to provide reading comprehension strategies with practice for exams. I also offer, spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and writing support.

With my background in maths and science as well as a secure understanding of the examination process, I am well placed to help with preparation for exams in these subjects, as well as helping students secure key concepts to support them in class.

I am a reliable and patient teacher, and I will adapt my teaching style to the needs of each student. With each subject I offer, I will work closely with you and your child to tailor the tuition sessions to meet discussed outcomes.
