Call me Eddie! I picked up music on my own as a child, remained self-taught until I decided it was time to craft my skills at university. At the time, Plymouth was ranked #12 in the country for Music following an exceptional grant from the band Muse, donating substantial resources and funding to the university for talented students on the program.
Since then, I've written and recorded 6 studio albums, composed orchestral music on 3 semi-pro films, and ghost written for compositions that have made it in the charts and in popular film trailers.
Living in London does mean I have a day job but I have a true passion for composition and inspiring others through music so I love to teach!
Over the last 15 years of playing live concerts I have had some phenomenal experiences playing alongside well-known modern acts such as Bastille, Imagine Dragons and many more. I've had great opportunities to write and perform in orchestras and have my music showcased on radio stations across the world.
I am an enthusiastic educator. I love to inspire an individual by engaging what it is about music that they truly love. If you are looking for you, or your child, to partake in a particular curriculum, it can be difficult to feel connected to the music your playing and sometimes an individual's motivation can significantly decline under these circumstances. I have had a strong track record in engaging my students in music they'd have not necessarily chosen to learn by teaching them the benefits of learning a diverse range of music outside of their natural joys and comfort zone. All-in-all, I believe my approach to be very consultative and thought-provoking, leading individuals to develop in a way that feels almost self-educating.
