I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Oxford, Queen's College, where I read History and French. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a strong passion for both subjects and a deep appreciation for effective teaching. Alongside my studies, I have been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including editing a short film and participating in piano performances. My diverse interests and experiences have equipped me with a well-rounded skill set and a commitment to helping others succeed academically.
I am currently serving as the Vice President of the Junior Common Room of Queen's College, where I have gained valuable organisational and communication skills by coordinating activities and liaising between students and college administration. I have extensive tutoring experience, having mentored students in GCSE Maths and French, as well as providing paired reading support. My involvement in these programs has allowed me to develop a patient and adaptive teaching style that caters to the unique needs of each student.
My teaching approach is student-centered and tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner. I believe in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas. My goal is to foster a deep understanding of the subject matter by breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts and using real-life examples to make the material more relatable. By combining patience, enthusiasm, and a structured approach, I strive to help my students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities.
