I am 27 years old and have studied Biomedical Science to a Masters level. I have been tutoring in Maths throughout my time as a university student and expanded to tutoring in Science subjects since the pandemic.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working as a private tutor since 2019, primarily teaching Maths at KS3 and GCSE level.

As online tuition has become more popular, I now see most of my students through programs such as Zoom, though I do have some in-person students as my schedule allows.

I assist students with Maths and Science lessons in addition to work assigned by their schools. Since 2020 I have tutored multiple GCSE students for maths and individual science subjects, assisting in the creation of revision materials and reviewing past exam papers in order to prepare for the exam period.

In the most recent academic year, my GCSE students achieved grades 7-9 in-line with their expectations in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and I couldn't be more proud of their hard work.

I have experience with the AQA GCSE and Edexcel GCSE and IGCSE exam boards for Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
I also have experience with OCR and Edexcel A-Level Biology.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is patient and encouraging, I understand that children have different ways of learning and so adapt to suit the situation. I am happy to teach specific topics, help with homework or work through exam papers. I feel that making a lesson enjoyable and being enthusiastic about the subject also helps the student to feel more confident in their own ability, especially since mathematics can sometimes be a daunting subject.
