I'm a primary teacher living and working in South Ayrshire. I came to teaching as a second career and I am passionate about providing learning opportunities that are inspiring and engaging. I offer literacy and numeracy tuition for primary and S1 pupils. Whether your child is just needing some help to get back on track after the summer break or needing help with underpinning knowledge, I can design a programme tailored to your child's stage at school.

Tutoring Experience

Originally with a BA (hons) in Commerce and 20 years managerial experience in hospitality, I came to teaching as a second career. I have 7 years teaching experience in South Ayrshire in middle and upper primary stages. I have gained GTCS accreditation for teaching Learning for Sustainability. I have completed work with pupils as part of the Children’s Parliament Citizen's Assembly for Climate Action. In addition, I work with First Lego League within the classroom, ensuring my pupils engage and learn with real world problems. I am passionate about providing meaningful and inspiring programmes of learning.

Tutoring Approach

Following the Scootish Curriculum for Excellence, I will assess your student to the benchmarks for their stage in school and tailor a programme that meets their needs. The programme will provide support to build a learning mindset as well as academic skills and knowledge.
