I am currently working at a local secondary school teaching English, I have first class BSc in Business Management also have an HND in English Literature in Social Theory. I have been tutoring English Language and Literature for 2 years, both in a secondary school and privately. I am passionate about teaching and thoroughly enjoy building a rapport with students and seeing their confidence in the subject grow.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in three different secondary schools with various abilities and SEN needs. I have worked with Years 9-11 primarily focusing on small groups or individual students needing more support. I have also worked as an exam invigilator, midday supervisor, and teaching assistant, I also have two teenage children myself and therefore have strong curriculum knowledge. My students from 23/24 achieved grades above their predictions.

Tutoring Approach

I use a student-led approach, listening to their concerns, and areas they want to focus on and determining their strengths and weaknesses to formulate bespoke learning programs. I will make changes as required and adapt to the student as it is important that students take charge of their education and future as early as possible.
