I am a passionate, caring and enthusiastic individual, who is determined to give children a positive and fun experience of learning and support they need. I tailor my teaching to meet the needs of each individual child, helping them see their capabilities and drive their own educational understanding forward. I have two children myself and understand too the support you want for your child/children.
I have been teaching in Primary schools for the past 10 years and have worked across both key stages.
I am currently working in upper Key Stage 2 in a large Junior School and have been tutoring for the past four years.
I have experience of teaching children with a wide range of needs: ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, PDA, Autism, poor working memory, Selective Mutism and EAL.
I make learning relevant to real life experiences where possible, giving children a purpose and understanding to what they are doing.
I am a curriculum leader and currently studying for my NPQSL qualification.
I am flexible in tutoring and will do my best to accommodate students.
I am happy to support the completion of homework tasks, revise content from schools, support Year 2 and Year 6 SATS preparation, develop essay writing or exam techniques, teach content to fill any gaps in knowledge or support the development of practical skills to help children apply skills across a range of subjects.
