I am a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher and 11 Plus and English and Maths Tutor. I have taught children from the ages of 4 to 12 years and have taught across various schools including an International Preparatory School in Portugal. I currently tutor online only.
I am DBS cleared.

Tutoring Experience

Whilst teaching, I have taken on the following additional roles: Special Educational Needs Coordinator, English as an Additional Language Coordinator, Maths Coordinator, ICT Coordinator, Pupil Premium Coordinator, Looked After Child Designated Teacher, and Medical Coordinator. I have taught classes of over 30 children, small group sessions and individual one-to-one sessions. Teaching on a 1:1 basis is incredibly rewarding as you can see the child's progress and their confidence grow very rapidly. I have an in-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum. I tailor all sessions individually for each child I work with, taking into account their individual needs and personality. I can also offer effective tuition to support children with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to make all sessions engaging and fun. I apply a variety of learning styles to suit your child's needs, e.g. visual, practical, interactive, etc. I aim to provide a positive learning environment, where your child can be comfortable and relaxed and enjoy learning. I am able to tailor a child's tuition to meet their needs whether it is to boost their confidence, if they are struggling with certain subjects/concepts or for high achieving pupils to reach their full potential.
