I am a full time secondary school Maths teacher.
5 years ago I graduated from Exeter University with a first class honours in Mathematics, and then went on to complete my PGCSE, and I have taught Maths full time ever since.
Besides teaching Maths, I enjoy triathlons and long distance running.

Having been a full time Maths teacher for the last 5 years, I have deep and thorough understanding of the GCSE specification, and have taught across both exam tiers.

Tutoring Approach

I have a structured yet personal approach to teaching.
I believe it is very important to understand how students best learn, and I adapt my teaching methods accordingly, to best help each individual student.
I encourage students to communicate their thought process behind their approach mathematical problems - helping them build confidence in their own approach, and also to allow the opportunity highlight and deal with any misconceptions there might me.
Most of all, I aim to build students confidence, understanding and exam technique so they can achieve their goals.
