Online French Tuition

Native French tutor with many years of experience in teaching with a literature diploma as well as a BA in Acting, my approach to teaching is one to really connect with you if you are passionate about all or any art!

From a very early age, I was always fascinated with foreign languages, which is why at the age of 16, I decided to go study abroad in the United States to improve my English.

I also love to speak Spanish and can understand Italian.

I think learning a new language is not only a great and useful skill, but it is also a necessity in today's world. (It also makes you more knowledgeable about your own language).

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring French from the age of 16 years old, when I lived in the USA.
Since then, I have had the chance to meet many students and help them achieve their goals: whether it was just to add another skill to their resume, or help them pass their GCSE or for their own personal growth.

It is a pleasure to teach my students my language but also my culture while mixing it with my own personal interests (films, musique, literature etc...)

Tutoring Approach

I strongly believe that we remember languages through things we love and feel personally connected to (music, film, books, travels etc...) so I like to incorporate my students passions and/or hobbies in my lessons as a jumping off point.

On the first class, I like to start with a little basic conversation to evaluate my student's level in French.
Then depending on how advanced the student is, I will eventually switch back to English to cover the basics. (I however try to speak in French as much as possible.)

Grammar is such an important part of every language, but it can be something very redundant so in order to keep things interesting, I like to switch things up quite a bit by working occasionally on songs, poems or clips from films.

My main focus is to make sure my student feels safe to make mistakes as I believe confidence plays a huge part in learning a new language.
