I hold both a BA Hons and an MA from Cambridge University in History. I also hold an MA from UCL in Public Policy (Politics and Philosophy). At A level, I achieved 4 A* in History, English Literature, Philosophy and th Extended Project Qualification, attaining 100% in 6 modules.

I am a professional, full time academic tutor and application mentor with over five years experience in the industry. I work with leading education consultancies, supporting students at all levels of their education, from pre-GCSE to undergraduate.

I am a strong believer that education should Removed both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable. Experience has taught me that students excel most when they are engaged and enthused by both the content and nature of lessons. Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience of teaching a wide range of students with varying goals and abilities. I focus on making lessons unique, offering a bespoke pedagogical approach which I adapt to suit the learning style of the student.

As a full-time professional in the field of education with 5 years experience, I have successfully supported over 300 students from pre-GCSE to University level. As a result, I have a strong understanding of all stages of the UK education system and the unique challenges students can face.

Tutoring Approach

I follow the philosophy that good tuition requires strong personal rapport and trust. I adopt a dynamic approach when teaching, adapting to individuals learning needs and building strong personal relationships with my students. This helps to make lessons a safe space to ask questions, express ideas and communicate challenges. I offer my students constant contact, replying to queries or concerns in-between sessions throughout the working week.

Exam success relies on more than just hard work. It requires a strong understanding of the marking criteria. Accordingly, I place emphasis on dissecting and analysing marking criteria during sessions to ensure my students have a strong understanding of examiners expectations. With these foundations put in place, I am able to ensure that the work we complete on syllabus content and essay technique is fully utilised.

Alongside offering strategic revision techniques and personalised learning plans, I focus on equipping students with core skills for long-term success. Firstly, I seek to build students’ personal confidence and belief in their ability. Secondly, I focus on cultivating soft skills in order to ensure students are able to communicate their academic ideas effectively. For highly ambitious students, I also offer sessions on critical-thinking and academic research skills which take them beyond the school curriculum. Finally, I ensure that my pupils have mastery over time-management through offering sessions dedicated to scheduling and organisation.
