Hi my names Evelyn. I’m currently studying maths and philosophy at the University of Birmingham. In my spare time I love to read, go to the gym and try and be creative. I am a cheerleader and have been competing since I was 11. I love to listen to music and go to concerts.
When i was in school, I volunteered to help with Year 1’s with their reading and their literacy. This was a great experience for me because I love to work with all ages and understand the best ways to help someone younger.
I also worked with Year 6’s in an engineering F1 project which helped me work on teaching my favourite subjects, maths and physics.
I have helped my sister through her GCSE exams, giving her some advice through topics she struggles with the most.
I will help students try and work through problems themselves, giving them tips and advice and knowledge I think has helped me to guide them through. Through both my maths A-levels and my current degree, I have learnt little ways to reword problems and maths equations that can make them easier to understand. I feel like my experience and knowledge means that I can give advice that is easy to understand and remember.
