Tutoring Experience

I am an engaging and interactive tutor for children that are primary school aged. I am available for online sessions. I specialise in Maths, English and Science tutoring. I give my tutees specified targets and goals to work on whilst adhering to the national curriculum and any upcoming assessments they may have such as SATs. I also will work on my tutees strengths and give positive praise to further encourage and motivate my tutee. I will assign some homework to my tutee to ensure knowledge is consolidated and practiced. This will allow knowledge to be transferred from the tutee’s short term memory to their long term memory.

I am a qualified primary school teacher (QTS) and I have experience teaching at an inner London primary school to a range of children no matter what their ability is. I have previously taught KS1, including teaching children completing the Year 2 SATs. I am currently teaching Year 5 students. I also have a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree from a Russel Group university (Queen Mary), and I have completed the Teach First LDP. I have many years of teaching and tutoring experience.
