I am a first year medical student studying medicine at the University of Birmingham. I have achieved AAB in Maths, Biology and Chemistry.
In addition to tutoring I am able to provide help and advice to anyone who is looking to pursue a career in medicine with advice on writing personal statements, preparing for the UKCAT and preparing for interviews. I had secured offers from top Russell group universities including University of Birmingham and University of Nottingham.
I have previously volunteered at my local primary school in which I have provided additional support to students struggling with their studies to help them catch up with their peers. Relevant experience at hospitals and GP practices as well as volunteering experience at a residential home will allow me to provide an accurate reflection of my journey into pursuing medicine.
I am able to take a flexible approach when teaching to help adapt to the students needs. By figuring out the students preferred learning style I can find the best way to teach and help them progress in their studies. I would first find areas that the student finds difficult and help clarify the relevant concepts before working on questions to test their understanding. I would also use a multitude of resources to keep the student engaged.
