I have newly graduated Lancaster University, and am looking for interesting and engaging work, and tutoring really appeals to me. I enjoy challenging work and am good at being flexible, adaptable and creative.

Tutoring Experience

I’m a very motivated and conscientious worker, always striving towards efficiency and quality of outcome. One of the key skills I have is being kind and friendly whilst crucially still retaining a professional and calm composure. Although I don’t have previous teaching experience, I think this mixed background would put me in a good stead for the role of a tutor, as I enjoy being creative and compassionate with others.

Tutoring Approach

I would be keen to tailor the teaching to each student individually. However, setting lesson and learning goals I think is key for both parents and the student. My teaching approach would also depend on the level or exam etc, the student was aiming for. But learning the given topic, then putting it into practice, and then tests and quizzes is a good way to start. For exam tutoring, learning about what each question is asking for and how exactly to answer it, is also crucial.
