I am a passionate and committed tutor with experience tutoring at all ages. I have a warm and holistic approach, as I believe that teaching key, fundamental processes is the best way for students to progress long term. I am personally interested in Hellenistic art and Ancient History, as well as literature of all varieties. My favourite author is Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and my favourite ancient work is the Tazza Farnese!

I have tutored English as a foreign language, history of art, and history all at various levels of study. I have also worked extensively with students working with English as a second language.

Tutoring Approach

I have a unique approach to teaching, drawing on my multidisciplinary studies. I believe that a firm grasp of the fundamentals is crucial, before encouraging the development of the imagination in my students, ensuring confidence in their thinking. I tailor questions and activities to each student, making sure that they are aware of their strengths and using this to address the weaknesses. I am highly aware of the different ways in which people learn, and the importance of tailoring my teaching to each individual.
