I am passionate about my subject, and enjoy bringing it to life with my students.
I have a degree in English from the University of Cambridge, and as well as tutoring, I work as an actor which proves useful in making the works of Shakespeare and other authors more accessible to my students.
I am an avid writer of prose, and have been telling stories since before I could read them!

Tutoring Experience

I offer tutoring to A Level, GCSE and primary students.
I tutor adults with English as an additional language who want to improve their fluency, particularly in a business context.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are fun and varied and tailored to my student's needs.
I use a combination of analysis and discussion when teaching literature to my students, helping them with interpretation, identifying themes, and selecting useful illustrative quotes.
Particularly for my primary and adult students, I ensure they have a strong foundation in grammar.
With a strong emphasis on study skills and exam technique, I encourage my students to ask questions and engage in the subject matter to reinforce their knowledge and confidence.
