I am a friendly, approachable teacher who has over 25 years of experience teaching biology, maths and physics.
I have a PhD, a masters in education, a BSc (hons), PGCE and QTS.
Whatever my students' aims are, I will work with them in a supportive and encouraging way to help them reach their goals.
I have taught juniors, KS3, KS4, FE and HE and am confident teaching SEN, mainstream and selective education students. I have over 25 years of experience teaching maths and science to these ages.
I have seen many students from KS3 in these subjects through to their A-level, in preparation for med school and university entrance.
I have taught a breadth of exam boards and I'm happy to discuss your requirements with you. Be assured, I will research your exam board requirements thoroughly and help you access the specification and exams with confidence.
I'll start a series of lessons by finding out what you feel confident with, and which topics are more challenging to you. We will talk about your aims and how you like to learn. Then we will make a plan to get you where you need to be.
We will always work together and I'm a big advocate of 'I do, We do, You do'. This means I will explain and demonstrate in ways that suit you, then we will work on a question together, then I'll give you something to practise independently.
I will always go at your pace and we will celebrate your achievements together.
