My name is Flavio. I'm a PhD student in Physics at the University of Cambridge, working on Quantum Computing and Algorithms.
As part of my PhD, I am also a supervisor at the University of Cambridge for many introductory courses in Physics and Mathematics.
Previously, I completed my undergraduate and Master’s degree in Cambridge, graduating with a First-class degree. I was recognised as a foundation scholar, having obtained results within the top 5% of my cohort every year.
In my free time at Cambridge, I am a member of the Physics Society committee, I sail and I fly gliders (yes, I am a pilot!).
I have five years experience teaching KS3, GCSE, A-levels, IB in both Maths and Physics. I have also helped students with university applications (Personal Statement, Mock Interviews, etc) to Oxbridge and introduced them to the first- and second-year Physics and Maths courses at Cambridge.
Currently, I am a supervisor at Cambridge for 2nd and 3rd year Physics and Mathematics courses.
I usually begin the first lesson with a set of questions spanning the syllabus of the course, in order to gauge your current level of comfort with different topics and plan the following lessons accordingly.
Based on the first lesson, I will draft a personalised course outline, taking into account your current level and the number of lessons you wish to have.
