Francesca

Alongside tutoring, I work as an editor, writer and author. As an editor, I work on both fiction and non-fiction texts on a whole range of topics. As for writing, I create articles for several magazines and online blogs. I am the author of two young adult novels, one published and the second due for release in the coming months.

When I'm not working, I enjoy playing music, seeing family, going for walks, and spending time in my garden.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working as an English tutor for the past two years. I teach pupils of abilities, helping them to build confidence, boost grades and find their passion for English. From students struggling to write an essay to those seeking to extend their knowledge, I have the experience to help.

Over the past two years, I have worked with students of all ages. I have helped children get to grips with phonics, seen GCSE students through their exams, and worked with adult learners on higher-level work.

I am capable of adapting my experience and expertise to meet individual needs and strive to help all my students achieve their goals.

Tutoring Approach

I am an enthusiastic and patient teacher with a passion for English. I care about nurturing, encouraging, and inspiring pupils with their English studies and am a firm believer that every student has the potential to succeed.

All my lessons are conducted in a stress-free environment where pupils are allowed to make mistakes and ask questions. I take a creative approach, teaching students how to love the subject whilst also fulfilling National Curriculum objectives.

While I teach according to National Curriculum standards, I am also a trained Montessori tutor. Montessori teaching follows the National Curriculum but is based on the principle that children continually learn from the world around them. I aim to reflect this in my lessons, teaching students not only to succeed, but to love English.
