Frankie

I am an online tutor based in Lincolnshire for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and specialise in Maths, English and 11+ exam. I am also happy to help with any online or remote learning work set by school. I have a BA (Hons) in Education.

The knowledge and previous experience I have gained has given me the fundamental skills needed to help tutees to develop their characters, raise aspirations and improve their academic achievements. I believe that every tutee should be provided the best start to their education with good foundations to prepare them for future challenges in life.

Tutoring Experience

Since graduating from university with a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Education I have tutored many primary children of all ages on a regular basis whilst working full-time.

During the Pandemic I used this time to explore tutoring as my primary occupation to support and reduce the negative impact would have on children. I have also previously partnered with a charity, Reachout, and on a weekly basis worked with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds offering one-to-one support to improve their academic achievements.

Tutoring Approach

I currently tutor on a one to one basis. Currently I conduct sessions online.

I recognise each tutees individual differences and create goals, taking into account their knowledge and learning needs. Adapting my teaching approach ensures young tutees are given the best possible opportunity to learn. All activities are inclusive, enabling tutees of all abilities to learn. I also recognise the importance of building meaningful relationships with each tutee in order for them to feel listened to and respected thus promoting learning.
