My name is Gareth, I am from York in the UK and I am an online English teacher. I have been an English teacher for 7 years now.

Tutoring Experience

I've taught all kinds of English, from general English to conversation clubs, business English and everything between!

For the last 5 years, I lived in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I've worked with children, teenagers and adults in a range of different settings, both online and face to face. For this reason, I consider myself to be a fairly experienced English teacher.

I have used all my experience to create my own unique, topic-based lesson plans which help students to learn vocabulary connected to certain topics and feel confident speaking English. My lesson plans cover traditional topics such as food, animals and music, but I have also worked hard to create many lessons focused on different interests, such as the environment, twitter, taboo subjects, vegetarianism and the meaning of life, to name just a few.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons are always fun and engaging and push students to learn, practice using what they have learnt and speak, speak, speak!

In my lessons, I will help you build a deeper vocabulary, correct any common grammatical errors with explanations and examples as well as give you tips to help you feel confident speaking English.

I will teach you real-life English, not textbook English. My lessons are for intermediate or higher students who want to be able to speak freely and sound natural when speaking English.

I have built an English teaching studio to give my students the best possible learning experience. This includes full HD webcam, a top-quality microphone and even a whiteboard on the wall!

I love teaching and give all of my students 100% of my effort 100% of the time. I am dedicated to helping my students learn the English language and enhance their life skills and future prospects.
