I am an experienced teacher and head of dept who has achieved excellent results as an individual and as a head of dept. I am also a national tutoring programme registered teacher. have successfully tutored at GCSE and A level for a number of years. I know all the tricks and tips examiners are looking for to get you the extra marks you need. Tutoring Experience

I have been a Science teacher for 29 years, i am currently head of a large science dept and have been for over 22 years. I have taught across the age range and all Sciences to GCSE. I also teach Biology,Chemistry and Applied Science to A level standard. I am also a GCSE Science examiner and A level moderator for an exam board. I have extensive experience in teaching A level Biology, chemistry in particular and applied science. I am an approved practical endorsement specialist for A level also. I also work for Coventry univ training student teachers as well as tutoring.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to work closely with the student utilising a range of techniques to get the very best grade. This may include problem solving, identifying and improving weaknesses, looking at revision technique, content review and new material teaching, exam technique and a general approach to learning. I offer extensive exam practice and examiner tips to get the best marks.
