Computing/Games Development Professional
I am an IT professional, I have been working in the IT sector for 10 years. Currently, I work as a lecturer in Computing/IT and Games Development a position I have held for five years at a prestigious academic institution in Surrey, United Kingdom. Furthermore, with my experience and expertise in IT/Computing and Games development, I have contributed to the development and growth of the academic curriculum at my current organisation.
Confident in the use of various software applications: ADaMSoft, OpenEpi, OpenMx, Shogun, SciPy, Microsoft project manager, Adobe Photoshop, Eclipse, Dreamweaver, Edsim51, Unity, Unreal engine, Blender and Visual studio.Net
• Confident in computer programming in various languages: Java, C, C#,C++, VB.net HTML/HTML5/XHTML, Java Script, CSS, PHP, XML, MATLAB and Assembly Language
• Certified IT Project Manager, able to apply both CompTia IT project skills and Microsoft solution framework techniques#/k#
My teaching approach: In IT/computing, the units I teach provides a full knowledge of new concepts, a clear idea of IT/computing principles and concepts as well as generates a solid foundation on which further techniques and constructs can be built. Computing is about assimilating information, rectifying it into an algorithm and then writing the code, hence building up new knowledge and understanding from the new developed model.
The theme of interdisciplinary academic pursuits is also pervasive not only in my teaching, but in my research as well. I am equally comfortable discussing ideas with information technology professionals, computer scientists, information systems specialists, game developers, and IT project managers since my research on emerging technologies in computer science/IT have broad applications beyond the standard techniques I employ. In particular, I am interested in a novel cooperation, safety, and service provisioning strategy for information technology applications in the workplace environment. My work is immediately engaging and accessible to those new to research, and I have directly supervised several such individuals including recent computing graduate students who are now continuing in their pursuit of emerging computer science technologies. My research has produced tangible outputs which were peer-reviewed, presented and published at major computer science and information technology conferences such as; 12th International Conference on Education and new learning technologies – edulearn 2020, International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Technology - ICBET 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark, published by APCBEE procedia (Elsevier Journal), International Conference on Advances in Computer Science and Application – CSA 2013 in Lucknow, India published by Elsevier Science and Technology, International Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology and Biomedical Engineering - ICBCBBE 2012 in Perth, Australia published by World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology and others. Also, I currently have research papers under review by IEEE and ACM. My research outputs are being referenced by professionals in the field.
