Experienced teacher was a flair for all things numbers. I graduated from Kent University in Maths and Statistics, having also obtained Double Maths at A Level and GCSE grade A.
I enjoy challenging students and myself with new ways of presenting material to keep students on their toes. I aim to provide a supportive role to all my students while encouraging a can do mindset.
I have eight years teaching experience as a Maths and English Tutor, covering KS2, KS3 and GCSE Higher and Foundation. I am also well versed in 11 plus exam preparation. I'm used to helping students of all abilities with differing learning styles.
All too often I find students whose early experiences of maths has proven awkward and frustrating. They are confused by abstract concepts and seemingly impossible tasks.
In order to get past these obstacles, I do all I can to build confidence in your child's ability and encourage solid mathematical thinking.
Using a student-centred approach, I emphasise the need for focus and hard work, breaking down the problem wherever possible,
With the right amount of patience, we identify the misconceptions that hold him/her back and then comes the penny drop moment which makes everyone's effort worthwhile!
