My name is Georgia and I am currently a university student studying for a Master's in Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham.

As a recent student, I have fresh academic experience of the GCSE and A-Level process and my own achievements have helped me master the best exam technique to help my students reach the highest grades.

As a young adult I find that students find it comfortable to approach me to ask questions and I can easily empathise with them having been in their position not too long ago.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a private tutor since 2019 and my 3 years of experience have allowed me to work with students of ranging passions and abilities and taught me how to adapt my teaching style appropriately.

I have had brilliant reviews from previous student's praising me for my dedication to students academically and my ability to help students feel more confident and grow personally.

In my experience teaching GCSE Maths I have brought students struggling at Grades 2/3 up to a high pass Grade 5. Similarly for students looking to reach the top grades they have gone from the high pass Grade 5 to reach the top 8/9 Grades.

In my experience teaching A-Level Mathematics and Chemistry, I have passed on my vast knowledge of exam questions and exam technique to help students excel during their exams and given helpful revision advice based on my own successful academic experience.

Tutoring Approach

I teach my lessons via Zoom, using its whiteboard and sharing screen facilities to their max by drawing on screen for visual explanations etc. Initially, students are tested so I am able to grade their current ability and identify weaknesses and their approach to exam questions. From here I tailor my teaching to improve on their areas of struggle and have a high focus on tackling difficult exam questions and nailing this technique. I also set homework weekly to allow my students to practice what they have been taught in the lesson and try to revisit last weeks topics in the next lesson to ensure cumulative learning.
