I am an incoming trainee on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate - I have extensive experience of working with young people and adults and I am passionate about helping people reach their potential. As a career-changer I completed a Law degree, then worked in the third sector and public sector with vulnerable people as a manager and a case worker for many years. I completed a conversion Master's in Psychology and I am now embarking on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate. I bring a wealth of experience and perspectives from different disciplines to my teaching.

Tutoring Experience

I will be able to support students to critically analyse literature, plan essays, understand research methods, support in exploring lecture content, and improve writing style. As someone who has changed from Law to Psychology I have the skills to understand how to learn psychology skills anew. I achieved A*A*A at A-Level, AAAA at AS and 8A*'s and 3A's at GCSE, meaning I feel adept in supporting people to learn how to revise and study for exams and coursework. I have been working with young people and adults in pastoral and support settings for over a decade - meaning my style is adaptable and accessible for all learners.

Tutoring Approach

Tutoring is personal and it's important that we work together to understand how you learn best. I want our sessions to be an open, flexible and honest space, where no question is silly. My aim for tutees is to feel confident in the material covered in our sessions so that they can take this forward independently.
