I recently graduated with a first in English (BA Hons) from the University of Cambridge.
In my private lessons, students will receive one-to-one support with a focus on exam technique, essay structure and close-reading skills. I am widely read, particularly in the classics, but I am interested in all kinds of non-canonical texts. I am flexible when it comes to the timings and content of my lessons.

I have a very good understanding of various A level English syllabuses, and am happy to support students preparing for their exams, or students who would like to extend their reading in preparation for a degree in English.

I have tutored siblings and family friends in order to boost their confidence in English and Drama at A Level and GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

The most important thing for me is that students feel comfortable and confident in my lessons, so I try to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere in which the student feels comfortable asking questions or expressing any concerns they might have.
