I teach, examinine and specialise in OCR Law - so if you are struggling with they amount of content to remember or how to structure the answers I can definitely help.

I have always loved reading and learning more about the law.
I studied law at A Level and fell in love with it, I always loved crime dramas and got excited about learning about real life cases. I then chose to study a law degree at uni where I realised I thrived telling people about the law rather than practicing it. Which is where I chose to teach it, since then I haven't looked back and still thoroughly enjoy telling the stories of the cases and evaluating how each one can impact future cases.
I find going to visit a court room fascinating and have taken many students over the years to watch cases in Manchester Crown Court.
I have a three year old daughter so my tutor sessions are often in the evening (after 7pm) when she has gone to bed or at weekends.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently a Head of department leading on the teaching of A Level Law.
I have been teaching A Level Law since 2016.
I have also been a tutor in OCR law for 5 years for students locally.
I have also been an examiner for OCR since 2019 (marking on paper 3 - contract law).

Tutoring Approach

The way I teach is very verbal, I will ask a lot of questions to check regularly for understanding of the law and fill any gaps in knowledge.
All my sessions are resourced with clear break downs of the law. I will always include an exam question in every session so we can put the theory that I have taught into practice.
In my past tutoring experience students on average have achieve 1 and a half grades above what their teacher has predicted them.

I will also mark any practice questions you do, to the standard of the exam board.

I have only ever tutored and taught on the OCR specification.
