I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a strong background in Ancient Greek, Latin, English, Italian, and Drama. With a D.Phil in Classical Languages and Literature from the University of Oxford and extensive teaching experience at institutions such as UCL and Oxford, I am passionate about making classical languages and literature accessible and engaging. My research focuses on the translation, adaptation, and performance of ancient texts, particularly Greek tragedy and comedy. Whether through one-on-one tutoring or larger lectures, I aim to inspire students to appreciate the richness of classical and modern literature while developing their language skills.

Tutoring Experience

I have over a decade of teaching experience at prestigious universities, including UCL and Oxford, where I have lectured and tutored in Ancient Greek, Latin, English, and Drama. My roles have ranged from teaching beginners' language courses to advanced literature and translation seminars. I have worked extensively in interdisciplinary and performance-based teaching, leading workshops on classical drama and its modern adaptations. My experience also includes private tutoring for students preparing for exams, university applications, and general enrichment. Additionally, I have been involved in admissions for both Oxford and UCL and in numerous outreach initiatives, helping students of all backgrounds engage with classical texts.

For language learning, I emphasise a balance of grammar, vocabulary, and immersion through reading texts. In literature and drama, I encourage close textual analysis while incorporating historical, philosophical, and theatrical contexts to deepen understanding. I strongly believe in active engagement, often incorporating performance elements for drama students and comparative analysis for language learners. My goal is to cultivate confidence, critical thinking, and a lasting appreciation for classical and modern languages.
