I always loved languages at school and, especially coming from an English-speaking background with no other familial influences, I have loved being able to prove to other students that they can also be fluent and put their language skills to use despite only speaking English at home. My language qualifications have afforded my jobs in Italy as an au pair, jobs in the French Alps and travels in South and Central America with friends and family.
I am also a keen sportsperson and enjoy running, cycling and skiing.
I have been teaching at a co-educational, mixed-ability state school for the past 7 years - since I qualified. I am now Head of MFL in this school and also hold a pastoral role
Coaching style with a mixture of light-hearted, short activities to engage and plenty of past paper questions. I am very comfortable adapting to the needs of the individual at a fast pace, and also happy to provide resources for them to keep or work on in my absence. If the individual wants homework-style tasks and feedback I can also provide this
