Hello! I am an experienced teacher of Spanish and a former curriculum lead with responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning. I am particularly skilled at supporting Foundation GCSE students to cross the threshold to gain a 'pass' and working with A-Level students to improve the quality of their writing and translations.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in non-selective 11-16 and 11-18 secondary schools in England, delivering learning to cohorts of A-Level students as well as foundation and higher GCSE pupils. My results have consistently been the best in the department. As a curriculum lead I was responsible for ensuring high quality teaching and learning in the department and I designed exam skill workshops for our GCSE students.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is flexible and responsive to the needs of my students. It leans towards technical teaching where I focus on the requirements of exam specifications and equipping my students with the skills to meet them.
