I am an experienced teacher of chemistry who has been teaching for 28 years. During my career, I have taught every aspect of A level chemistry and worked with an A level group in each of my years of teaching. I have also been teaching triple science chemistry and double award science for a similar number of years.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for four years: at A level I have tutored students following both the AQA and OCR syllabuses and also students studying GCSE chemistry.

Tutoring Approach

I really enjoy teaching chemistry and try to share that enthusiasm with those I teach. I am relaxed, patient and willing to help as much as I can. I always teach the concepts so that students can apply their knowledge to any question set. I also push students to use chemical vocabulary accurately and ask them to explain their answers verbally to build up their self-confidence.
