I am a qualified maths teacher and I currently work in a secondary school as the Lead Mathematics coordinator and lead of the UK Maths Challenge.
I have had over 1000+ hours of teaching from face-to-face tuition as one on one and in groups to online tuition using platforms such as Zoom and Google Meets. I am currently a qualified maths teacher approaching my 5th year in teaching mathematics.
I have a pupil-focused approach to my teaching in which each of my pupils will have a personalised plan to accomplish the highest achievement possible. I undergo regular assessment and feedback so pupils are aware of their current performance and how best to improve after every lesson. My methods have proven successful with positive results and progress in each of my pupils at the end of their GCSE’s. The beginning of every lesson will be a recap of prior learning, followed by the learning of new content and assessment of the content. When pupils have sufficient understanding, a new cycle can be started. This is the 'I do, We do, You do cycle'. Pupils will only learn new content once prior content has been assessed thoroughly.
