Halimah

I am a graduate from Engineering at the University of Nottingham who is keen to help others learn and succeed. With my students I take a friendly, encouraging approach and take the time to understand their strengths and weaknesses. I have earned a Grade 9 (A*) in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE. At A-level I achieved 3 A*s including an A* in A-level Maths which shows that I have a strong passion for Maths.

Tutoring Experience

I have now been tutoring many students for the past five years including helping many pass key qualifications such as GCSE Maths and previously had experience teaching friends and many close family members such as my younger brother and nephews.

Tutoring Approach

Both of my parents have experience in teaching and from them I have gained skills and a positive approach to teaching. My father has also had 30 years in experience as a maths and science tutor so I have access to many educational resources including online textbooks, revision guides and worksheets. I always set homework after each lesson to reinforce the key topics covered.
